# Security Best Practices

Good security habits are one of the most important ways to protect your account and assets. We recommend the following best practices for all users:

***

**Use a strong password**

Choose a password that is unique to Varntix and not reused on any other platform.

***

**Protect your email account**

Your email is a critical part of account recovery and security notifications. Make sure it is secured with a strong password and appropriate protections.

***

**Avoid unsecured devices and networks**

Only access your account from trusted devices and secure internet connections.

***

**Review your account regularly**

Check your balances, activity, and recent actions from time to time to make sure everything appears as expected.

***

**Be cautious of impersonation attempts**

Varntix will never ask you to share your password or sensitive login details. Always verify communications and only use official channels.

***

**Double-check transaction details**

Before making a deposit or withdrawal, review wallet addresses, amounts, and network details carefully.

Strong security practices reduce risk and help ensure your account remains protected over time.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://varntix.gitbook.io/resources/account-and-security/security-best-practices.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
